The Concierge Club at the Grand Californian just got a brand new facelift. Now called Veranda, the club is brighter and more elegant than ever. The Club Level guest rooms have also been renovated and given a fresh new look. The Grand Californian continues to show everyone how Concierge Clubs should be done!

The room now has a modern take on an Arts and Crafts interior.

The Club Level rooms are on the 6th floor of the Grand Californian. When you arrive, a Concierge greets you at Valet to bring you up to their privatevcheck-in desk. You are given your rooms keys, a welcome packet and a brief tour of the Veranda/Concierge Club. If you need assistance with reservations or tour tickets, they can also help you with that. The staff is very helpful and they do an excellent job of rolling out the red carpet.

The rooms are brighter than before and bring to mind the citrus groves that used to blanket Anaheim. They have replaced most of the bunk beds with very comfortable queen sized beds. There are USB outlets, everywhere, And the refrigerators have been updated with lovely new, glass fronted fridges. The biggest change in the rooms is in the bathrooms... the bathtubs have been replaced by large, glass door showers with multiple shower heads and a small seat. This was our least favorite addition because we are big bathers and we especially appreciate a nice soak at the end of the day in the Parks. Not sure if getting rid of the tubs was the best idea for a family hotel to do. Hopefully, the kind cast members will not have to face too much hostility over this.

Staying in a Club Level room costs an additional fee and is usually only available during the time of booking. You can expect this to cost anywhere from $150-300, in addition to the regular room fees. These rooms can be booked online or by calling the hotel reservation line, directly.

While staying on the Club Level, you have full access to the beverages and snacks that are offered in Veranda. The food service schedule is as follows...

Grand Beginnings (Breakfast) 6:30- 10:30 am (pastries, cereals, fruits and juices)

Afternoon Tea (Lunch) 11:30 am- 3:30 pm (sandwiches, scones, sweets and beverages)

Grand Hours (Afternoon Snacks) 4:30-7:00 pm (appetizers, wine and beer)

Sweet Endings (Dessert) 8:00-10:00 om (pastries, cookies and evening cordials)

For the most part, there are always sodas, coffee, tea and espresso available whenever the Club is open.

GRAND BEGINNINGS

This is the biggest meal that they offer and we were very happy with all of the selections.

In addition to this, they also had fruit juices, mimosas, cereals and an Oatmeal Bar.

From what we hear, this is the service that alternates the most. When we were there, they had a small selection of Din Sum (steamed pork dumplings and veggie egg rolls), charcuterie and crudite.
