Lightsaber Churros: a Review

Lightsaber Churros: a Review
Me, about to chow down on these sparkly bad boys.

Me, about to chow down on these sparkly bad boys.

The lightsaber churro was the talk of the town for a while. This treat was coveted as much (if not more) than the infamous golden churro, with its new and exciting colors. Anyway, this churro is not available anymore, but this photo inspired me to write a review.

The line was about 15 minutes long and looked much more intimidating than it actually was. Once we got our churros, the colored sugar started to get everywhere. Be prepared for some messy memories if you get churros or beignets. When I took a bite, my mouth immediately was filled with sugar. It was very hard to swallow. The churros tasted quite similar to the regular churros with a slight wash of Froot Loops. The 2 colors tasted the same.

(Pssst! these beautiful babies aren't available in Disneyland Park itself, but the same churros are available for purchase at Disney California Adventure at the Cozy Cone. They are named "racing stripe churros, i believe.)

Hope you enjoyed this and learned something new!
