5 Best Disney Movies to Watch Before a Trip to Disney

To me, Disneyland/Disney World is all about happy energy. What better than to get yourself in the mood before entering a magical land? I’ve compiled a list of the best Disney movies to get you in the mood for a fun trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. Before we start, I would just like to say that these movies are in no particular order. Let’s begin!

 

  1. Peter Pan (1953)

Peter pan is the ideal movie to watch before a Disney trip. Disneyland park and Magic Kingdom house a Peter Pan inspired ride. My younger brother, Milo, and I used to watch Peter Pan before every disney trip. I mean, all you need is faith, trust and pixie dust to live your lives. Right?

 

  

  2.   Cinderella (1950)

Cinderella exhibits that classic Disney magic that we all know and love. Heck, if you live in the WDW area, you can even walk through her castle! It’s the classic rags-to-riches love story, and what’s better than some classic Disney to start your visit to the parks off right?

 

 

    3.  Alice in Wonderland (1951)

Alice in wonderland is a classic, wondrous, magical, disney film that you can never become bored of. Each scene adds to the one before, making Alice a timeless film. There are 2 rides based off of this fun flick; Mad tea Party and Alice in Wonderland, and a hat shop nearby called The Mad Hatter. You can even meet characters from Alice in Wonderland at all corners of Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom.

 

   

    4.  Aladdin (1992)

Aladdin was a pivotal piece of the Disney Renaissance. In 50 years from now, I’m sure this film will be remembered as one of the best Disney films of all time. After preparing for your Disney trip by watching this epic movie, go eat lunch at Aladdin’s Oasis!

 

    

    5. Toy Story (1995)

I had to include Pixar’s first feature film, Toy Story. There are 2 Toy Story themed rides in the Disneyland Resort (Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and Toy Story Midway Mania), and some of the international Disney Parks already have Toy Story themed lands! In 2018, WDW will welcome a Toy Story Land to Hollywood Studios. Toy Story is a revolutionary film in its ground, as it was the first full-length feature film entirely computer animated.
